collaborative culture

The Collaborative Culture development program is designed for all employees.  If every employee is accountable for working as a professional, communicating directly and respectfully, and resolving concerns proactively, the culture of the organization will reflect the positive health found through open dialogue and collaboration – creating a space where employees want to stay and thrive.

overall goal of program

The overall goal of the program is for employees to establish a common language and approach to communicate with each other constructively and work collaboratively to solve problems and make decisions.  One session is completely devoted to skills training for tactical activities related to working with others in teams or work groups. The other two sessions focus on communication, building relationships and resolving concerns and challenges.  This program is designed to be a foundation for both the Coaching for Commitment & Results program for supervisors and the Team Leader program for team leaders as it empowers all individuals (regardless of their role) to be proactive in all aspects of their job and in their communication with others.

practical focus

The material is practical in nature, with only a brief amount of time spent on concepts/theories to launch into the topics.  Practical means that employees are offered tangible “tools” and approaches that they can begin implementing right away.  This is a one-of-a-kind program due to its straightforward and experiential approach.  The return on-investment is priceless as it changes the culture of a workplace by having a universal approach to communicating constructively and a common language for working together.  Specific benefits include employees gaining and using:  more professional interaction skills, organizational strategies with simple formats, and communication strategies to build relationships and resolve conflicts.

learning approach

  • Experiential and applied learning
  • 3 full day interactive sessions (ideally separated by 1-4 weeks)
  • 1:1 reinforcement coaching where each participant sets a learning plan that they implement over several months
  • Final session where each participant presents about their applied learning experiences and then all participants work together to brainstorm solutions to commonly shared challenges
  • Total classroom time is approximately 32 hours, total coaching time is 2 ½ hours and learning plan implementation is intended to be seamlessly integrated into the employee’s normal work
  • Sessions must be in-person due to the interactive nature of the program

COMPLETELY CUSTOMIZED

Each program is customized to meet the organization's needs so this is definitely NOT an "off the shelf" approach.
